The shaky camera effect on The Blair Witch Project really bothered me when it was at the theater, but I recently saw it on cable and it didn't bother me nearly as much. I figure it's easier watching on the smaller screen, but also so many other movies have come out since then with the same shaky camera effect so it no longer bothers me as much. I actually enjoyed the plot a little. It was pretty creepy without being gory. I like scary movies that don't rely on surprise, gratuitous sex, and gore.
Interesting that this came up. Saw my adult children this weekend and we were talking
about some films on Netflix. Both said what you did......don't watch it. Of course
curiosity set in and I had to ask what it was about - then they (as briefly as they
could) explained it......too sickening to even listen. They were firm about
it and said it again...DO NOT WATCH It.....too disgusting, repulsive and images that will take
some time to erase from your brain.

Did you ever count the commercial breaks? Seven. They go on so long and repeat so many times, I forget what I am watching.
"Scary movies that don't rely on surprise, gratuitous sex, and gore." Kinda like the Pee Wee Herman Playhouse without Pee Wee or the playhouse. Seriously?
