My mom didn't care for the movie and never have I wanted a character to die as much as I wanted Adam to asphyxiate in his vomit.

But I was impressed with Tatum. His dance moves were incredible.

I recently saw this movie. It was enjoyable. I've never been to any club or event that involved male strippers, but now I feel like I'm missing out.

I haven't seen this movie and don't really care to. However, I do know some women who have seen it. My mother and sister are two. My gf passed because she doesn't like some of the guys in it (good for her). They told me it wasn't that good. Story line lame, etc, etc. But they both said, " boy that Channing Tatum can dance. I'll give him that. I haven't seen it, but seen bits from the theatres previews and I will concur. I wish I could dance like Channing. Ok, the point of me even posting about this dumb movie. Because I heard it referrenced to "Boogie Nights", which in my eyes is a classic. Love that movie. One of my ten favorites of all time. There is no way this movie is anything like Boogie Nights..It was hard to put them in the same sentence together. It's blasphemy..I'm so glad in Boogie Nights that Leonardo Detwitto didn't take the role. I just can't see him (too skinny) playing that role at that time (now he's too fat). I thought Mark Whalberg played that role perfectly. He was charming in it and it was the first movie that I could see some real acting ability in him. As far as I'm concerned, Boogie Nights is the reason Mark Whalberg has a career. I'm not saying it totally made him, but it sure didn't hurt him..He hadn't done much prior to that. A role in Basketball diaries and a cadet in some army type movie..So Mark should thank Leonardo for turning that role down...Still shaking my head about them two movies being similar...Rant over!

I did, quite a while ago, enjoyed the dance numbers, but didn't put the two together till after. I don't think I saw the last step up movie; will probably go back and watch them again including the latest of that series. I love a good dance movie, excluding Chicago. Dance has been in my blood from my tot days, took dance in high school, Aced modern dance. Somehow I never pursued dance or singing as many friends thought I would as it was more suited to may nature. Other more immediate resposibilities took presedence and I ended up, mostly studing and working in business oriented and healthcare careers.

I have a great appreciation for many styles of dance, so thanks for bringing it up. I will be looking to see if I can get copies to view in the coming weeks.
