1. It's either The Ring or The Grudge. It's a few years later & I still think of that grudge chick right when I go to bed.
2. Halloween, the original of course. That is the ultimate horror movie. I watch it every Halloween.....it's actually a cozy movie for me.
3. I don't know what my fave horror genre is, I don't really get into religious or paranormal stuff....I do really like movies that take place in the woods or a cabin in the woods. On that note, has anyone seen the movie Baghead? I highly recommend, good surprise ending.

I recommend "Tourist Trap", starring Chuck Connors.
Tourist Trap (1979)

Love this thread!!!!!!

1. The Exorcist. Anything to do with demonic possession scares me.

2. Favorite Horror Movie...too broad a question. I'll break it down like this;
A- Zombie Films- Dead Alive
B- Slasher Films- Halloween (the original series)
C- Terror Films- The Strangers
D- Psychological Horror- The Shining

3. My favorite genre is Slasher. I like the classic "stalking the prey and one by one them disappearing." lol. But Terror and Zombies are right there too.
Reall the only thing in Horror I don't like it modern trend. Like in the new Friday the 13th how Jason had a hostage in the cellar, or how RZ made Michael Myers a big ol' body builder. I just like the story to be left alone.

With this you ALL need to go rent Trick R Treat!!!!!!! It's the 2nd best Halloween movie, right behind the original Halloween!!!!

That movie freaked me out.
And this was one of the few times where I preferred the American remake to the original (Japanese). It had more visual impact and a spookier tone.
::seven days....::

I did not see The Grudge--I think maybe The Ring was enough for me.
There was also the Korean movie about the Two Sisters, that was suspenseful and creepy.

Alien was pretty scary, too. Also The Sixth Sense. And War of the Worlds.
Did anyone ever see The Mothman Prophecies? That one had me going for awhile.

Scariest movie for me would have to be Night of the Living Dead, watched as a kid and it scared me silly.

I also like "The Others," although not really too scary, it's different from the normal.

I think hands down the best scary movie has to be the original "Halloween" and the second one that continues the story. Michael Myers...aaah he just.... wont.... die!

A movie that scared me the most was "The Hills Have Eyes" and "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" (the new one) the suspense in them are what really scare me.

I don't really have a fav genre....I like everything.
