I have a Yamaha Venture with Bub Big Willy's...They are rotting out and is getting louder...I'm at the stage where I'd like to go back to stock for the quiet even though I would have to re-jet the carbs back also... Anybody know a good source for used parts or an after market source for slip on mufflers that are on the quiet side??? Stealer wants $500 per pipe!!! I need two and that's just ridicules!!!

Are these the kind you could perhaps re-pack with fiberglass?

Pick up a copy of Walneck's Classicfieds, you will find dealers in used older motorcycle parts in there. OEM exhaust pipes are typically beautifully made, but cost. You might want to replace with the same aftermarket muffler if they are still availableIf they are rusted out on the bottom, probably you are making short trips with the bike, if you get it out and run it for 10 to 30 miles (I mean, you like to ride, right?) most if not all times you run it at all, the exhaust pipes should last a lot longer.

M3 Min trip is to work and that's 12 miles each way and half highway...I have about 20K on them and they were used when I got them...I should have kept the stock ones but they were part of the price for the Bubs...I got them cheap with the trade...

Look for a Yamaha Venture rider's forum. You can likely find parts and pipes, etc there.

If not, try searching for some other slipons. Stock cans will be pricey, as they can only come from one source.

Measure the pipes OD. If that ends as 1 and 3/4 inch the world is at your will.
