Are you talking about the current production version or the vintage version?

Each one has it's charms. Me I would go for a good vintage one, sort of a 2-wheeled MG-B.

Cool old bike...neat new bike.

Here's another Trump I watched on Ebay the other day that I thought looked pretty cool.
eBay Motors: Triumph : Thunderbird (item 290292278986 end time Feb-03-09 09:59:30 PST) (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=290292278986&sspagenam e=ADME%3AB%3AWNA%3AUS%3A1123&viewitem - broken link)=

I've owned nortons from the 60's If it were me I would buy the new model, i like them and have thought about one for myself.
the old ones are hard to get parts for and the new ones have better brakes and no points to fool with.

Dracul - ain't that the truth! I have been assiduously avoiding temptation until I can cut myself free of this place.

It looks like I'll start looking on Craig's list and the local shops. February is a good time to buy a motorcycle. BTW - the Triumph in question was a new one. The 875 CC vertical twin with balance mechanism: A Triumph Twin with no shake. Imagine!

Good men, both of yas! Have you looked into the new parallel twin Triumph is coming out with next year? Pretty hefty too at almost 1,600cc's. I've always liked Triumph, their whole lineup is so "in your face" ya just gotta luv 'em! I've been shopping on and off on Ebay and Craigs for a used Triumph Rocket 3 I can tinker with. Some smokin' deals from time to time.
