I want the Sportster 1200 that's currently sold in Europe and not in the US, an HD that actually goes decently (79 HP at the wheel) stops, and turns

Default SCOOT Over, Harleys!

No clutch-and-rev, rev, rev Harleys for me. I'd rather have a good ol' twist-and-go motor scooter!

See the SCOOT OVER! thread in the AUTOMOTIVE section of the General Forums.

I probably would never buy one but if I did it would be a touring bike, I own a suzuki gsf1200s now but if was going to spend the big bucks it would be for a BMW k1200gt.

When the Harley guys were busting chops on a Honda riding co-worker, he replied "if wanted to be seen on a Harley, I just have to poke holes in my exhaust and I've have a more reliable version". I'm in the market, but I'm probably going to buy a Yamaha or Kawasaki cruiser. Can't see paying the premium for the H-D name only.

Never been that crazy about H-D but if I were to get one it would probably be a 1200 Sportster. My 1985 FJ 1100 still does me just fine.

But if I just HAD to buy a bike with 2 cylinders not built in Japan for some reason, I'd get a BMW, Ducati, or maybe Aprila.
