These are pictures of the most significant new Triumph since the launch of the Daytona 675 in 2006. The Trophy tourer you see here is entirely new, has shaft drive, and is the first of the next generation of big-capacity Triumphs.
The Sport-Touring Trophy (1200 - 4 & 900 - 3) was the bike that Triumph started their comeback with.
They quit making them because they said there was too many other companies making Sport Tourers.
I have a 1996 1200 Trophy and have never been able to wrap my head around any other S-T so I hung onto it. The 1200 has so much torque it's ridiculous....you can pull two people up a hill from 25 MPH in 6th like no other bike can do. It's heavy so low speed handling suffers a bit, but at speed you can really throw it around moreso than the Yamaha, BMW, or Honda S-Ts.
