Rumour going around that they're going to build a mix use tower (office/condo) that'll match the height of Le 1000 (205m) above Central Station. If this rumour is true, that'll be the third 200m+ building in this area and the city would quadruple the amount of 200m buildings as well (from 1 to 4) honestly insane.

What are the other two? Going from 1 to 4 means there are two others in the works?

It still has to go through borough council meetings, which they said December but now apparently it's in February. Regardless, they're still advertising heavily that sales start this Spring. 2019 is gonna have a huge crop of massive projects and it's very exciting. Maestria isn't even the biggest project proposed haha.

I was looking on google street view at the area where masteria is going to be. That area has changed quite a bit, I am glad they are going to build something tall around there. I was also looking at the corner of St Catherines and St Laurent. That area has really changed too. One of the few things that is still there on St Laurent between St Catherines and Rene Leveque is that sleazy strip club Cleopatras. Lol there is advertising there for some building. Looks like they are going to build around the strip club. LOL.

I just read about a new massive project under construction at the Decarie/40 Interchange. Looks like quite something! I always thought that area could use a boost. Would be nice to see the mountain wrapped around with major activity on both sides.

I've been reading that a lot of people are against it, claiming it might take away from the importance of downtown. I disagree... Dix30 in Brossard has become a major attraction for residents, yet downtown remains unphased by it. I don't see this as competing with the streetside storefronts and pedestrian-heaven that is downtown.

They've already built around it haha, it's part of the Caree St. Laurent, phase one will have 800 government workers from Quebec move in, and a food hall with 40-50 vendors and phase 2 will be a 20-floor hotel or condo. The area is cleaning up, next target is Screaming Eagle, last I heard it's getting torn down and replaced by an 8-floor hotel.
