Maestria Condominiums: GROUPE DEVIMCO, IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE FONDS IMMOBILIER DE SOLIDARITÉ FTQ AND FIERA REAL ESTATE, INSTALLS THE HIGHEST SUSPENDED SKYBRIDGE IN A RESIDENTIAL PROJECT IN QUÉBEC
I never quite understood the 3AM last call in Montreal to begin with. The city prides itself on being a 24/7 city, similar to NYC (but on a much smaller scale,) and it's true, people are out and about walking around at all hours... This is one thing that has always baffled me about the city.

Same and to be honest, it's really died off over here. I went for a stroll Friday night on St. Cat and it was empty at 9pm, same with St. Laurent last night around midnight, which is something I've never seen here and it was not that cold at all. Of course, there is still a huge covid shock but it's gotten really sad.
Coderre passed a special status for downtown in 2015? or 2016 I forget, but basically stores can be open 24/7 and noone has followed it. I'm happy about nightlife and talks about extending last call, I've heard no last calls or until 6am. The other pilot project is restaurants until 3am, which would be amazing (especially after a night of drinking).
But I agree, we are not a 24/7 city and the city really lost a step due to covid. It really derailed the progress made here after everything, and I truly hope we become a 24/7 city ASAP. Not only for bars and restaurants, but for shops and I hope the 5pm closing of stores on weekends b.s ends, it's so stupid to have that in a major city. I submitted my proposal to the city and partners, I cannot share it here sadly, but *IF* they listen to what I want to see be done for downtown and inner areas of the city, we will be a 24/7 city very soon.
