I have heard that parts of this movie were shot in Montreal. I searched online but couldnt find any exact locations. Does anyone know where in Montreal they shot the movie?

Who cares? I'm more interested in local movies that make it to the top of the local charts (and sometimes get International attention) than I am tax-break movies that pretend to be in the U.S. - like most of the useless, pathetic, so-called 'Canadian' movie industry films. Ooooh.. Vancouver as San Francisco... Toronto as New York... fabulous 'Canadian' movies those will be lol!

Canadian culture: lol!

I worked as an extra for one night in that movie. One local was a theater North of St. Catherine street on Bleury.

I find it interesting that an English-language movie can be filmed in Montreal without giving away any "Frenchness".

Well, they can replicate a snowy mountain village on a Hollywood set, can't they?

What is "Frenchness", and how would it affect the filming of an English-language movie?

I dunno - longer coffee and lunch breaks for unionized crew members?

I meant French-language signs and French-inspired architecture.
