Heyloooo all! Whelp, just getting over the excitement of watching the Pac pluck and gut the Falcons! Bring on da Bears! That game (if all goes right) will be the real super bowl. Hoping for a blizzard up there next weekend, that'd really be the topper!

Just got done planting a semi dwarf (or is that semi little tree for the p.c. crowd) Mayer Lemmon tree and can't wait for them little round pie fillers to start poppin' out. It's already got several reeeeeel small ones and buds everywhere. Now we've gotta plant a buddy for it, maybe a lime or orange tree?
Costco has some bare root roses for $4 that my wife is eyeballing and since our back yard is nothing but caliche dirt (aka concrete/rock) right now anything is an improvement. Had to go get a 14lb steel "digger bar" that is pointy on one end and has a chisel on the other and is about 7 foot long just to break into the soil to dig a hole.
Took most of the day to dig a 5 foot round by 3 foot deep hole, maybe it's time to rent a power auger or jackhammer?
I've decided enough of this.... I'm building raised beds for the veggies I want to plant, I think a rototiller would just bounce along the top of the dirt anyway.
Hope y'all are staying warm up there, it's still a toasty 73 here....

Oh yea, I have one of those, I call it the "nail"
I tried in Oregon to talk a Meyer Lemon into living but it had a death wish, in the mean time my neighbor had bananas and everything growing in his yard, I am sure he had a pack with something

You cannot beat a $4 rose, go for it.

This ain't right. It was 40 degrees when I got up at 5. At this rate, the snow will start melting just in time to get cold and create a skating rink.

Coffee's on. Grits are cooking.
