By request....

Here are some paintings I finished lately...

The painting with the grain elevator was inspired by the old wooden elevators that still exist and my dad, who was a freight agent for the Great Northern Railway.

Here are some samples of what I did on very small scraps of canvas when I was doing "one painting a day" for a couple of months.

I've been oil painting since the 1960's, when I was in high school. Lots of images over the years.

Default Halloween around the corner

It was a beautiful autumn day in western Montana today. With Halloween right around the corner, is there anyone that would like to share pictures of their pumpkin patch or jack-o-lanterns to entertain us? I don't have any yet.

I gave up on trying to grow pumpkins after last year, when everything was hailed out. I had babied it all along with coverings to no avail.

It was an odd year for the garden again this year, as it stayed cold and wet for so long... I only got a couple of zucchini and usually a person gets so much they have to give them away.

I'd like to see some successful Montana garden 2011 harvest photos, too!
