Interesting.. Wonder what, if anything, they have planned for that block.

Local investors paid more than $1.34 million for 5 buildings on Dauphin Street, a vacant lot on N.Lawrence Street and a house on St. Francis Street all in downtown Mobile, according to Jay Roberds of NAI Mobile. The purchase covered 1.31 acres and 21,000 square feet of buildings. The structures include 500,508,510, 518 and 522 Dauphin St. with a total of 227 front feet on Dauphin Street. Griffice Printing will remain a tenant at 508 Dauphin St., while the other buildings are vacant. The development plans have not been announced.

The Federal Courthouse is underway... still looking like a summer 2018 completion date. In the meantime, GSA is conducting studies into streetscape makeovers in the general vicinity of said construction, and even into Detonti Square.

BUND

This restaurant (serving "health-conscious" food), a chain from Europe, will be opening in the Pincus Building at the corner of Royal and Dauphin.

That's pretty cool considering both that it caters to individuals looking for a more healthy solution for food downtown and also that Mobile will be their first US location. Thanks for the update!

Yes but they only have six existing locations. I am more excited about the idea of a more healthy menu in terms of fast food.
