Look on the positive side. Maybe it indicates an increased level of political ... or environmental ... awareness?

As long as it's a debate and not just people talking past each other, anyway.

We haven't even had Native America Summer yet. (trying to remain PC) There should be a couple days worth of decent weather left, I hope.

I agree.. I'm ready to up end and move down to say at least Missouri... this 35 degree high stuff when it's supposed to be 65 is insanity.. and you are right, highs in fairbanks alaska are warmer then here. Plus, it doesn't look like even the 50's want to ever make a return this year, which means, like you said, no warmth again until next April.

Good job versus warm weather...hmmm...

They had 5" of the white stuff in Omaha Nebraska last night so going south isn't always the answer

I wouldn't recommend rural Missouri unless you like very low wages and plenty of anti-intellectual people.

Actually, its in the 30's in Missouri today to. Lows in the 20's tonight for much of the state. It gives me a bit of a piece of mind to know that we are not the only ones suffering but this weather is just flat out insane for much of the country! Maybe the wooley mammoths will come back and can keep us warm when the glaciers come rollin on back down.

But I can do without another 1991 Halloween blizzard.
I can't remember if we got 25-26-27 inches of snow that time. I was living in DT Mpls in a condo. Snowmobiles could be seen around downtown that night.

And then? We hardly got any snow the rest of that winter. Oh how I loved a good blizzard and I so miss the snow!

I'd move back to Mpls if I were promised a nice blizzard every week of the winter!
