Has anyone been to these rinks in St. Paul that were just built? Are they really busy and how is the ice quality? They have had bad responses from some of the community on the spending that has gone into them, but on that note aside how are they?

Are you talking about indoor ice rinks or is this something new?

It's new, I think I read about them in the star tribune. They are outdoor, but open earlier in the winter season and close later in the spring.

Ahh.....Found it.

Refrigerated ice rink? seems unnecessary spending, unless its not free and pays off for it self. I have lived here 18 years and I still haven't tried ice skating, based on my performance on an inline skates, I probably suck at it. Is the one in downtown mpls by the channel 4 tv station still seasonally opened?

Why are the refrigerating outdoor rinks? Isnt it cold enough anymore??? I skated outside for years usually about a week after thanksgiving until February or March the ice was good.
