Most suburbs don't even have sidewalks.

I beg to differ but your vast years of experience living in MN might be different then mine.

I would check out the Condo highrises in downtown Minneapolis. A good example of this is the Carlyle. There are units available in the 350-450k range and upwards to 1.5 million. Looks like a really nice facility.

I know, tell that to my husband when he is shoveling 12+ inches of HEAVY, WET snow. There are bike paths and sidewalks EVERYWHERE around here. You can walk to everything you need here all on sidewalks/walking/biking trails.

Wow. I can think of several southern and SW suburbs off the top of my head which have sidewalks: Richfield, St. Louis Park, Hopkins, and Bloomington have a LOT of sidewalks, for example. Others like Eden Prairie and again tend to have them on most main roads, and also have biking trails for getting places.

I grew up without a car; we WALKED EVERYWHERE...and on sidewalks mind you!

So, though you get an A for effort (that's a neat website I didn't know even existed, thanks) I have to disagree with you.
