no, given there was no real criteria for the rating other than weather, I'd chalk it up to ignorance nationally more than anything...

#1 most popular Denver....yeah it's a nice city but definitely not #1. As for Detroit being #1 least popular, uh no....I'd take Detroit over Oakland.

I actually thought the list would be more bogus. But for the most part, I think its pretty fair. Sucks to be #4 I suppose, but least popular does not equate to worse to live.

Trust me it's good to live in an unpopular city, I lived in Phoenix when it was unpopular before the housing boom and the number of people just kind of ruined the whole thing so I moved. Minneapolis is a great town and it doesn't need to win any popularity contests to stay a great town.

Default Let me second with golfgal said...

This sort of poll is meaningless: now, if you had someone who lived in a bunch of other cities and they seemed compatible with your lifestyle then, yeah, that would carry more meaning. Otherwhise it is ignorance talking. Keep this in mind: 19% of people think they are in the upper 1% of wage earners. Ummm, hello???

That's only because most of the voters were from St.Paul.

It's a survey of 2,260 adults asking them which metropolitan areas they would most and least like to live in. The weather bit is just some writer trying to interpret why the Twin Cities was unpopular.
