I have a friend driving up to visit for 3 days. I went to city to ask if they had any temporary parking permits and I guess they don't. What have you guys done in the past when friends come to visit and they have cars?

It's always best to ask a city official when you can when it comes to rules, laws and ordinances.

Parking Services & Info

Parking Permits

From the website above:

"Parking is permitted on a temporary basis for special situations or circumstances (i.e. out-of-town visitors, street or alley construction project). Permission may be obtained each night by calling (414)286-8300 between the hours of 8:00 AM and 1:00 AM Sunday through Friday. Permission will not be granted more than 3 times in a 30 day period. Night parking permission can be granted for up to 30 days for street and alley construction projects. Be prepared to provide the following information when calling for night permission:

  • Address where the vehicle is parked
  • License plate number
