That is a real bad understanding... It has no real bearing. It does not relate to the United States military. Yes, "Is this wrong". I could go on and on.

This has nothing to do with the topic of discussion.

Don't know. However, I'd advise you honor your current commitment. For me, I was supposed to MEP into the USAF in June, then my recruiter called in April with a new date 10 days out. I jumped on it and never looked back.

Take the extra time to improve yourself. Get fit. Read up on the Navy and your specialty. Show up ready to go. Don't be that guy who reports 30 lbs overweight and can't do 7 situps (I had one of these in my training flight...)

Can the Navy kick me out from DEP without noticing me? The thing is I told to my recruiter that I am going overseas for 5 months and she said the commander may kick out for that fact. Now I've decided not to risk and stay in the US

At least in the army, from what i understand you can back out and be given an uncharacterized discharge if you request to back out before basic. Ask your naval recruiter and inform him of your concerns. If you dont think he is being honest, go talk to an army recruiter.

Currently, in the Delayed Entry Program (DEP), you have not been sworn in. At one time (70's) you were sworn into the Reserves and brought to active duty. Some would come in as E-2's because that time counted.
