Pay shouldn't be an issue:

2011 Military Pay Scale Chart - for Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines

That's base... they there's housing, you get $ for dependents etc...

Zeros can have a nice life. (Lower enlisted with a family, not so much)

Now... you wanta be stationed in Ga, or on a ship?

(I'm paraphrasing, but you should be abel to figure out the 'GENERAL lifestyle differences.')

(Some army guys end up on the water, some navy guys never touch it.)

Have you talked with the recruiters yet?

If not, then go talk to them.

If you have talked to the recruiters, start seeing what you qualify for....

You'll be fine....

Sounds like you are PRIME officer material!

Just remember:
Ask your E-7's before you do ANYTHING and you'll be fine.

....It's not uncommon. Some people are married and want to join the French Foreign Legion.
