Miami is cheap compared to New York City and expensive compared to Detroit. Makes sense to me.

Yes it is, but New York is NEW YORK, a world class city that has plenty jobs even in the most limited fields such as fashion, advertising, design and others... Also New York has a lot to offer in every aspect of life, There's no way to compare NY to Miami...

Miami has that a resort town/tropical beach feeling.... maybe that's why everything is expensive.

The ones claiming NYC is more expensive than Miami, have you actually lived in NYC or are we just talking to be talking? Just the answer my own question, I have lived in both places.

Don't use race baits, use facts. Have an intelligent exchange. Don't let your inner troll take over.
