Hi everyone!
I am planning to move to the Memphis area with my partner I have not found any information if any of the burbs are gay friendly (Mississippi or Tennessee). If it is, which areas are better to settle down for gay couple?
We like to have friends over and would like to know our neighbors. Neither of us are flamboyant or stand outs. We are pretty main stream and boring.
If you have any suggestions about nearby communities I would like to hear from you.

I will really appreciate all information.
Thank you.

The inner city area of midtown has a larger gay precense than other areas. I don't think you'd have much of a problem in most suburbs, no one would be any different than another.

Midtown is the most gay friendly area by far. I think the suburbs would be fine as well, but there's not a cohesive gay presence in any of them. Is there a particular reason you're looking in the suburbs?

Like everyone else, I would recommend Midtown. And probably the Cooper-Young area to be specific.

I am looking for several acres that I can plant a garden, fruit trees, a few native plants, a green house for my flowering plants and not be too close to my neighbors. I have lived in the city all my life and now that I am about to retire I need some space and a new environment.

Oh, okay, understood.

In that case, the 'burbs are probably the best bet -- however, there's no particular one that is either gay friendly or gay "unfriendly." May I ask your price range for a house, how many beds/baths you want, etc? Maybe we can go from there.
