The area is crazy around the holidays and the new shopping/dinings areas near the mall bring in visitors. 3rd Ave., The District, wayside Commons, Crossroads Plaza all are busy with shoppers and diners. What other towns offer you so many places to pay a small fortune for dinner:

Capital Grill
Seasons 52
Fogo de Chao
Legal Seafoods
Smith & Wolensky
The Bancroft
Redstone Grill
Black N Blue
Chopps
Eddie V’s
Moooo.

I live in town as far away from the mall as possible. I love folks coming in and spending money so my property taxes stay low.
This description makes it sound like a cheaper, easier to access alternative to going in to Boston for dinner/shopping, which certainly can't hurt its business.

Wow, good for him! I'd love if he could teach my neighbors a lesson.

Purchased almost a year ago and is now selling at a $60K loss. Buyer's remorse, divorce, job relocation, job loss?

It's been listed for 17 days. The market is down, and they likely overpaid last year (130k over list).

It looks like they also tried to sell it in April and got no bites.

It was listed for $779,900 in May 2022 but they paid $910,000.
Were they crazy?
Last year the bidding war was not that keen already.

That's a crazy amount to overbid when you are only going to live there about a year then try to sell it!

I took a look at the public records and my impression is death or divorce.

But that would be a rough commute. An hour+driving time on the train or an hour+ driving to the 128 jobs.
