Where does it say foreclosure? It was just purchased in April? That was fast.

A few weeks ago it was listed as a foreclosure. But recently they removed that wording from the listing. But it is still the same foreclosure I believe.

This is the info from the assessors database:

Owner Information
HB2 ALTERNATIVE HOLDINGS LLC C/O PHH MORTGAGE CORPORATION
1661 WORTHINGTON RD STE 100
WEST PALM BEACH, FL

Why ignore location?

This unit looks comparable and sold earlier this year for $840k.

The foreclosure might end up lower than $650k but who knows…inventory is so low.

Rates have gone up about another 0.50% from two weeks ago.

It's a foreclosure but.....the owner took out a reverse mortgage in 2007 and passed away in 2021. It takes time for things to work through probate thus the "foreclosure" earlier this year.

The previous owner had a line of credit from the reverse mortgage for over $500K back in 2007 and was 102 when she passed.

Oh I see. I have no idea how you found all that out but it is good information to have. I have a friend who lives in one of those buildings on Browne Street. They are quite lovely but most have no parking. So you need to rent a space somewhere. My friend ended up selling his car.

Dunno if that is what happened, but I wonder if the people who bought this year wasn't told about the lien from the reverse mortgage and are letting it go to foreclosure instead of continuing to pay. Very expensive mistake.

Weird, my Zillow app just says "condo for sale" instead of foreclosure like in your screenshot.

I'm starting to see 25-30k price reductions on 800k+ homes. Looks like 7.6% interest rates are finally slowing things down. Or maybe it's because real estate slows down in the fall anyway.

Wow that is sad. The street view of the house is very telling. Bad kitchen floor too.
