You guys are still complaining about this? No one here is getting double whammied. The free school lunches are paid from the millionaire's tax. Do you pay the millionaire's tax?

What about the people who pay for public schools who don't have kids? They pay for the school infrastructure, the staff salary, the buses etc. Why aren't you complaining about those people having to pay taxes for things they don't use?

Must be nice to be able to afford a house in the Cape in 2023.

Everything is more. The dollar is worth less than it was a few years ago. Another major factor is the minimum wage increase. And most low end workers get paid above that. $20 an hour is pretty much the norm. 5 years ago that would have been unheard of.

I noticed some cheese slices i used to buy went from 3.99 to 4.29 over night. I guess that's not a huge deal but i noticed it

A jelly I used to purchase for 4.99 is now 6.89. It just seems odd that a small canister of jelly that isn't even fresh or organic is almost $7? Again why? Almost seems worth it to make your own.

I could be a billionaire and still wonder why Americans are being charged $7 for a small glass jar of jelly. And you can get them for more if you'd like! It didn't stop there.

The biggest increase I've seen so far is 100%. A soft serve at Market Basket used to be 99 cents. Now it's $1.99.

yes, if you go out for an ice cream at an ice cream shop it can cost around $8 with toppings, etc.

Yup. Taking the kids out for ice cream now became a $50 outing assuming nobody wants to plan mini golf.
