We are now stuck out in western Mass and we are not happy about it. We are still far (2.5 hour drive each way) from family. This is not the Massachusetts I know and love. I feel like I live in another state.

So depressing.

That's dumb. And now you will really be stuck there once RTO gets in full swing and Western MA housing values crash and burn.

Shoulda just stayed in AZ and enjoyed the weather at least.

I agree. There is no need to be saying cruel things to me. I am just responding to the article as it pertains to me and my family trying to keep our heads above water in a very expensive state.

I am doing the best I can with what I have. I needed to be home for my family.

Thank you redplum33

Fully remote jobs are down to 20%. They were not at zero prior to the pandemic and during the pandemic some additional companies gave up their office space and became remote organizations. I just don't see the remote job percentage dropping any further. I think RTO has reached it max.

I wouldn't sweat it too much.

Why are his personal finances relevant and what does that have to do with the real estate market here?

If he owns a home here and/or lives here as his primary residence but isn't paying income taxes then it's a cheat on the system. I think there was some questions surrounding that. Taxes are already high enough to make up for the shortfall b/c of folks who don't pay their fair share...do we need more?!

I'm a moderator on a prominent boating forum and I would ban the whole lot of you for these frivolous posts if I were a moderator here. Personal attacks are way out of bounds.

Noting a poster's lack of credibility is not a personal attack.
