Hmmm...it's not as if Chinese or other Asians are new here in Quincy. Where has he been?

If he is a lifelong resident of Quincy or the nearby area, he knows that. You'd think he'd have at least adjusted somewhat or fully to their Quincy presence after the past few decades. Didn't the Chinese influx to Quincy start in the mid 80s, perhaps?

I have lived here 18 plus years, but am not certain, just that I had heard that estimate of their arrival when chatting with a lifetime local in her 30s about ten years ago.

Does he insist on white dentists -- maybe even Irish? -- doctors, cashiers, police, paramedics etc. when in need? Who knows, maybe he'll be sent to an Asian psychologist after this. Oh, the irony.

Due to such startling bravado, this may not be the first time he's done something like this. Just hasn't been caught, perhaps? And he may have escaped this time if not for the nearby construction worker who jumped in a car and followed him.

Sounds like an angry disgruntled man who has probably lived in Quincy his whole life. Could be losing his mind. I agree Asians are not new to Quincy but maybe he's been mad for a long time about their arrival.

Not sure where you are going with this. Are you saying this would this have been OK were it done 30 years ago??? Don't bother trying to rationalize the actions of a sociopath.

If you are a person living in a neighborhood that all of a sudden becomes inhabited by one particular ethnic group you might not be thrilled about it. The guy should have just moved but for whatever reason he didn't.

Good to know that nobody is racist in a long diverse neighborhood, and also that all 78-year olds are playing with a full deck of cards. I'll add that to my notes.

Not quite, that’s a textbook definition of racism. One has every right to be angry if the newcomers are trashing the neighborhood and turning it into a crime-infested cesspool but being unhappy simply because they don’t look like you makes you no better than all the friendly folks congregating at 10 Washington St in dot.

People tend to want to live in neighborhoods where they have things in common with neighbors and sometimes that boils down to ethnicity. It seems like the Asians in Quincy have stayed together and tend to move to other areas where there are Asians there as well. If that's racism then it is what it is I guess.

THIS GUY TRIED TO MOW SOMEBODY DOWN WITH HIS VEHICLE. That is NOT normal behavior.

No, that is not normal behavior. Which is why I said if he felt that way about Asian people he should have moved.

While this guy is no doubt sick in the head, he could be extra disgruntled about the disheveled looking properties around him. (Many) Asians don't maintain their yards. Ask me how I know! lol
