I don't believe so as Paxton is more woods than farms. Anyone with a tractor, of which there are many, are likely heading to the Spencer or Sterling fairs.

Strands, huh? So about 300ft west of 190

Well, if you have been to the airport you have been more West that Strands.

PS do you refer to the Worcester area or have you never been in western MA?

Springfield depends. The parts that border Longmeadow and East Longmeadow tend to blend. Obviously it doesn't look like downtown springfield. Just like if you drive down 16 acres and end up in Wilbraham it looks the same. It's a city of homes not skyscrapers all over the place.

Similar

Rockland/abington
Whitman/hanson
Scituate/Marshfield heck I might lump Hull into it.
Westwood/Dedham
Hanover/Norwell

Most of the hilltowns in the berkshires. Chester and Huntington for starters

Different

Lynnfield (different from most of the state, I don't think I saw a single CVS or Dunkin Donuts)

I was referring to Worcester County, I think. I’ve driven past WaWaChusett many times on 140 cutting the corner on my way to Killington but other than the airport, anything west or northwest of Worcester is a mystery to me.

I am no stranger to western Mass. I’m very limited between 190/290, the Pike, Route 2, and 91. Amherst like anyone else. I never otherwise had a reason to go to that part of the state.

I think there can be much to be said here about historical districts.

Springfield and Chicopee neighborhoods indiscernibly bleed in to one another in a few areas.

As someone that lives in that general area, I can totally understand.

Dissimilar:

Sudbury/Marlborough -- as you drive from Sudbury into Marlborough on Route 20, the bucolic tree-lined route just stops at the town line and transitions to barrenness. I always find it quite jarring when I drive it.
