I went to Harvard.

Once, for the better part of a day.

I was attending school elsewhere in the Boston metro area. It's beautiful in an odd sort of way, not so much aesthetically but just in the force field of all those old buildings irradiated with the concentrated overheated thoughts of centuries of students.

Cambridge is such a nice place, pretty, so full of so many creative geniuses and intellectuals. There's really nothing like it on the West Coast. It used to be very bookish but I suppose that has changed since 1979, with the advent of the internet. Maybe it's Kindle-ish now, or perhaps the students walk around with virtual reality helmets covering their entire head.

Both my husband and I used to work in Harvard Sq (we met there). I work in Central now and only get down there once in awhile. It looks different already. I don't recall that citizens bank there!

Any how, lovely pics. Glad the snow is gone.

Oh, I hope someone does some more Western MA pics, Pittsfield-Lee-Lenox, or Great Barrington. The hills of home.

I have lots of Western MA photos, but more the area between Northampton/Easthampton, Shelburne Falls and Greenfield. Here's a few further to the west but more closer to North Adams; northwest.

Natural Bridge State Park, North Adams

looking back down into North Adams:

Maybe winter photos would be better, then?

Thanks, Nei!

I agree very much, Dimps, though climate change seems to be hitting Massachusetts quite hard. I wonder if it's going to be chronically more stormy and soggy than I remember it.
