I live in Sudbury and was suggesting the OP look in Framingham or Ashland for a better commute. You live in Maynard and paint a very rosy picture of the town, so it sounds like you're the one who's trying to promote your own town.

Parsec,

You forgot to mention the toxic waste dump that has everyone in Ashland concerned. There are implications to the long term health of residents. A few Ashland realtors are in trouble for not disclosing these facts to prospective home buyers. In case you did know this - there is a huge underground plume of contamination that is NOT likely to be remediated. There has been seepage into homes and basements in the area. Hmm, lets prioritize: long term health of young children or easy commute to work?! Obviously, you'll take the easy commute. However, not every parent will.

It is important to highlight these facts to be a good neighbor and to maintain the legitimacy of your comments on this site.

Parsec doesn't live in Ashland and the whole town isn't contaminated.
