G'Day!

when the 2010 census is complete what will the population be in Eastport? How fast (or slow) is Eastport growing?

Is there an Irish community in Eastport? the demographics page shows ~25% Irish population.

where exactly is downtown Eastport ... between what streets?

THANKS!!!

My guess is ~1600. Eastport is slowly shrinking.

Eastport is mostly Irish on March 17.

Downtown is Water Street from the Motel East to the Breakwater. Say from Shackford to Sullivan.

I am sure that, as in most census years, a lot of the population will tell the census takers to perform an impossible physical act on half the questions. ButI think we will wind up between 1500-1600 people if we're lucky.

We have quite a few folks of Irish decent (among others. Mutts all.) but there are no clubs/groups I know of. And Mensa is right, in a month everyone at the Wa-Co will be 100% Irish.

Downtown runs Water Street from Key Street to Sullivan Street (Back Lane).

Aye, a top o' the mornin' to ya, and the rest of the day to you to! Right on the money. The people of Eastport, do have a bit of the Irish flavor to them! Sadly, Eastport is still losing people slowly. But so is the rest of downeast Maine

I just noticed the security cameras on power poles in Eastport ... are these in just the downtown area or all over Quaddy/Eastport area?

I never noticed any. Come to think of it, I don't know why any would be needed in Eastport.
