Or will we have to fight PETA so the crawfish farmers can get into their bogs to get the crawfish out of the traps?
Actually, if we can find the packaged crawfish tails somewhere, I know how to make etoufee and all them good Cajun dishes. And I don't necessarily need crawfish.

We do, but they're much more labor intensive than where you come from I believe.

We caught a few one night during the summer. You need a nice clean pond (preferably near a dam), a flashlight, and a lot of bandaids for the wounds incurred on the rocks.

Of course, as I recall, the wounds may be attributed to some connection to the "adult frosty beverages" we were consuming at the time.

Must have been in you were finding crawfish in clean water. They don't call them "mud bugs" for nothing. They raise them in bogs in Louisiana. They burrow into the mud on the bottom. They care labor intensive, but worth it!
Let's see. Summer? Not in season. Clean pond? They grow in mud. "Adult frosty beverages?" Bandages, yes, but from rocks, not the crawfish? Are you sure it was crawfish you caught?

They're in season right now, and we'll be going through Louisiana. But they're not really practical to bring all the way to Maine. However, we can still practice a Cajun tradition. Any excuse to get together with friends and cook something good to eat. And, oh, yes, (how dare I forget!) plenty of "Adult frosty beverages."
