I agree, Peachie...I love fall in Maine, and Christmas in general is the best! You are such a sweet couple. This is one of my favorite pictures of our family, taken on my oldest's second Christmas. He's holding a little penguin that he got for Christmas that year. The penguin made the cutest little "bubble" sounds when you squeezed it. I wish I would have recorded it, it was so sweet.

Aww your right it is a sweet picture. When they are young, christmas is the best time. Do you still have the penguin?

I always have a friend & family christmas eve gathering, and I leave Christmas to just DH & kids.
I want to stay in my robe most of the morning. I want to sit on the couch with DH, huggin' our coffee's and watch the girls open gifts. This is the most relaxing time of the whole year.
( until steve has to get up and find batteries for everything. He is the "battery master". I think he keeps them in his back pocket too.) hehe

For me, it's summer here in Eastport and the lovely crisp air and sunshine. But the fall is a close second. I love seeing the trees change and all the wonderful smells in the air, like wood burning, the sounds of children laughing during soccer games, the Halloween decorations.
