My DW has been making sausage, playing with recipes. She now has to leave for a week, so as she was packing she told me. "In the frig is a series of bowls each with a different type sausage made up, and they all need to be eaten soon or else frozen."

Yes, maam!

So tonight was homemade kielbasa, Maine potatoes, garden string beans with my sourdough bread and wine

Default Soups On!!

Spring has sprung..the flowers are in bloom and the trees have buds and leaves. The temperature is about 40ish and falling tonight to the low 30's with patchy frost. Tomorrow night's forecast is low 20's. Last week-end it was hot and humid...go figure...typical Florida weather.

Last night I made Chili..a recipe called Paul Bunyan Chili..yummy, spicy and medium to hot.

Tonight...Spanish Bean Soup...all's welcome...come on over.

I know it's not next door and a trip...so I will extend the invitation again when we move to Eastport.

Spring has definitely sprung here- summer is very near!!

With all the precipitation, the mountains and foothills appear to be covered in a green shag carpet. Mexican poppies are in bloom as is desert lupine!!

Amazing, same beautiful deep blue/purple lupine as is Maine but smaller in stature.

I will try to post photos,( should anyone be interested) upon request!!

I work at a high school and I can tell you that there is certainly also romance in the air among the students- another sign that Spring is here

Sprng is still a ways away up here yet though. It will be another 1 1/2 or 2 months before I see any buds on the trees.

Sorry, I didn't realize it was sarcasm, I thought it looked like a smiley looking upward with an impish grin.

phew! Thanks.

I worked with a woman who brought her corgis to work with her occasionally (in the Superior Court House in Bangor!). She hid them under her desk when the county commissioners came in.
