Here, you can get one of your own:

Powerhorse 3-Pt. Horizontal/Vertical Log Splitter — 22 Tons | Log Splitters| Northern Tool + Equipment

We have one that's similar, but purchased years ago. These are nice because you don't need to worry about the engines on them (there aren't any) - you just connect them to your tractor and it works!

We have a Husky 22 ton splitter that we bought new 3 years ago. It does a great job for sure and one serious beast .

There isn't anything it won't cut through like a hot knife through butter ...

It was the intrigue of making so many pieces in one shot, but I am sure the conveyor alone is probably 10 to 20 grand...

I'm happy to pay the wood guy who lives about 1/2 mile away from me to cut the wood and split it for me. I have no place to store logs anyway, and he has a huge field.

Our splitter does a great job and very happy with it.
This thing- obviously its for someone that is in a business as if nothing else- sure would take too long to process a couple cords of wood.

Some years back in Virginia, we were hit with a horrible Del Rayo Storm - with vertical wind speeds ( iedownward winds) of over 100 mph. We lost soo many big beautiful trees- leaving the back part of our land ( we had 9 acres) - looking like a tornado slammed into it from the top.
We ended up with well over 14 cords of wood from those large trees.
I swear= for an entire month- all we did was chain saw up bucks, then split- then stack.. These were not young trees- even the limbs of these big old Oaks were 2 to 3 feet in diameter. ( and some larger).

I see this machine and I think- man- that would have helped after that one storm.
Then of course- our splitter does what we need

The key to efficient wood splitting is to treat it like a manufacturing process and have adequate tables to feed the wood to the splitter and to get the split wood out of the way. Some 2x4 and a couple of sheets of 3/4 exterior plywood should do the job. Try and get a couple of people to help. One to feed the wood, one to remove and stack the splits and another to run the splitter hydraulics. That gets the job done a lot faster and can cost as little as an Irish coffee or two.
