Do what you want. A neighbor built a log home and it cost him $450,000 in penalty because he brought in some pine beatles.

Wyoming's limit for small trailers not requiring title/registration is 1,000 lbs, although you can get a title for a trailer under that if you want it.

If you are building a larger splitter integral with the trailer, it would be best to title/register it so that it's coverable under your auto insurance policy while towing it.

Thanks for the replies.
It will be a smaller splitter and weigh under 1000 lbs.
I dont see me towing it maybe more than once a year for a few miles out to my Dads place. Glad to hear i dont need to register it. Thanks!

Oh oh. hahaha They snuck that one in on us. I have a couple trailers out here that "Now" need registration.

The latest is a small version of a sheep wagon that I will pull behind my 4 wheeler. I'm glad you found that. Thanks.

Oh ... n o o o o o.

I've got 5 small boat trailers that now need Wyoming titles and registrations ....

I never saw any publicity on the new regs for 2010 about the small trailers, only the changes on the ATV's. And I've never been stopped on the roads when I've pulled those small boats during 2010. I may just go back to cartopping my small sailboats and quit using the trailers ... that's a lot of new expense to use those trailers a couple of times per year.
