I want to run a few more RG6 cable lines to my upstairs bedrooms from my basement. I want the strongest DBs possible but I don't know if it would be better to make 3 home runs to the basement splitter or to run a single line to the attic and split it off from there to each room.
each time you add a splitter in front of another, you're going to have signal loss. If you have enough ports available on the existing, its best to tap from it.
If you have digital cable, as long is there is enough signal, it shouldn't be a noticeable signal loss issue.
I would just read through some of the info there. I've heard good things. No particular recommendations as of yet. I'm going to use it for a portable LCD TV so I can have it in the kitchen, on the hot tub, in the weight room, etc.

Interesting, I haden't heard of wireless TV before. I have to wonder how well it works. I have Verizon FIOS for TV and cable, and it's super, however the wireless router Verizon supplies really sucks as far as sending a good signal to my other computer at the other end of the house. I bought a wireless signal booster and that helped, at least the computer isn't constantly kicking me off, but it still reads "Very low signal".
All that to say, if the TV wireless works no better that the wireless router, it's not much good.
I don't know, just asking...?
Am I the only one who finds discussions of "wireless TV" as a new and exciting solution just funny?
You may be, but probably not. Here are all the places I think it would be nice to be *able* to have music, news, sports, movies, DVDs, science shows, etc. from a portable TV, on occasion:
in my bedroom
on the bathtub
on the hot tub
inside the backyard gazebo
at my breakfast nook office desk
in the kitchen while preparing a meal
in the garage
in the weight/guitar front room
for a guest in the guest room
I'm no TV addict, but I enjoy some television and other video sources. Wireless TV + a small TV has many advantages:
--only need one TV (other than living room/main room)
--only need one FIOS box
--no wires!
--TV stows easily for a clean look throughout the house
--relatively inexpensive
What's so funny again?
My VP's son's room is a suite, it has a bathroom the size of my bedroom, a kitchenette, a study, a playroom, etc. There are three LCD televisions in the suite, the smallest (bathroom) is about 32", while the other two are probably 46". THAT's excessive.
