Is why I have gotten in the habit of calling them "weather guessers"... What gets me is when you happen to live in the town that has the radio or TV station to which you are listening and they even get the current conditions wrong! LOL I would at least look out the window, if not actually going out before I went on the air...

Default speaking of the weather...

Does anyone else get riled up, like I do, when the weather reporters editorialize on the forcast?

I mean, "good" weather has different meanings to different folks... from the farmer needing rain to the golfer who doesn't to the trucker who likes clear, dry roads to the skiers and resort owners who want inches and feet of "powder"...

Some folks like warm, some like cool... seems to me the best route for a weather reporter would be to JUST report, minus the editorial slant...

A friend of mine who is a meteorologist in the Canadian Armed Forces likes to tell the story of when he finished basic training and was given a career apptitude test by the Air Force.

Using the test results as a basis, the Air Force gave him a choice of training to be either an Air Traffic Controller or a Meteorologist.

After some quick thought, my buddy chose to be a weather dude because he figured he could screw up half the time and still get promoted.
