I just did a quick tour through some other state forums on this site -- not a scientific survey, mind you, just a random walk through a dozen or so -- and the Maine forum was the most active of them all. Why do you suppose that is?

I like this forum the best out of all of them...I have a lot of interests, so there are topics on City-data that I love, but I'm usually pretty pressed for time. I visit the Maine forum before I visit any of the others, and sometimes by the time I'm done posting here, I'm out of "free" time . The other part of that, for me, is that because my time is limited, I want to spend it enjoying a forum. I like it that the Maine forum overall has a positive feel, and I like it that we kind of have the "regulars", and new people. It makes the discussions interesting, and also demonstrates the variety within Maine itself. I look forward to reading everyone's posts, I even notice when someone hasn't posted on here for a while (and sometimes I'll PM them and ask where they've gone!). As long as it's fun for me, I'll keep coming back! And, I look forward to the day when someone like Elcarim and Dramamama, who so badly want to be here, gets moved and settled. It's nice to think that in little ways we're helping

You guys are just great...and I love posting on here with you!!

Default The Truth Is

...because I don't want to get shot on the Atlanta Forum. And the air is much cleaner here on the Maine forum.
