Since it includes ALL Federal jobs, many of the military recruiters also sneak job openings into the mix. So you may be reading about an opening for a truck driver with great benefits and locations all over the world and suddenly your talking to an Army recruiter. But on the other hand all bases are populated with civilian employees, and all of those jobs are listed on USAJOBS.GOV

When we were in Ct, DW applied for a job with the Forestry Department. They have a farmhouse that some artist owned in 1900, where he would paint and teach others to paint, it is now a historic landmark owned by the Federal Forestry Department. So they needed a Forest Ranger to act fulltime as a tour guide for art students at this historic landmark.

DW now works at a grocery store, she started there as a cashier, then went to the cash cage, then to produce, then to the warehouse. She currently works in the warehouse loading dock and stocking shelves for $16/hour, in Bangor.

Homeland Security is going to need more Customs Officers here in Calais. We're finally getting our third bridge. There is a test required, but you can learn more at their website

Very nice! Wow $16 an hour. After 12 years with Wal-Mart in a higher level supervisor capacity, I was only making just under $14. For the record, when I was stocking shelves it was $5.25.

I currently work in the private sector. I did take a longer drive and a pay cut to get out of Wal-Mart, but just recently got a promotion (with a title which is TOO funny if you know me) and am back up to past where I would have been at Wal- Mart. I feel very blessed to have found this job, now if only I culd move all 3000 associates to Washington County, I would be in heaven.

Thanks! Several people saw our pics (Wal-Mart took forever to get all of them back) and now everybody sees why I am so crazy in LOVE with Eastport. We are even trying to get a big group to go for our next time up when the kid is done with college.
