That's why BR and the surrounding areas are known as Cancer Alley.

This smell though is the absolute worst I have ever encountered. They are cooking dead animals! All fine and dandy except this is the main street entering into Shreveport just before the downtown area. I have seriously gagged and come close to throwing up! All of you people defending this place, including senators, have to encounter it to believe how horrible it really is. I read a post on the Shreveport Times that actually has someone saying just stay out of that part of the city. Sure everyone should stay away from downtown Shreveport and the casinos and all the tourism that this city brings in. Thats the answer right I think they should bottle the smell and release it in a senate hearing just to see how fast the room clears.

You are definitely right about that one! My church is along N market and one of the reps from that plant came from Dallas and attended a cpl of our services. Well on the last visit she got up and presented our church with a check for 5,000.00 for the 'inconvience'. They also rented our church a charter bus and paid for a trip to Six Flags in Arlington for the youth. It was a nice gesture but it doesn't take away the darn smell. We STILL have to put up with that.....
