My husband's job is relocating to Monroe and we are looking for a good area with good public schools. Our daughters will be in the 8th and 4th grades. Both are very shy but excited about the move. We will be moving from the st. Louis area. Wanted to get opinions on West Monroe and Sterlington. Also I found two churches (Life Church and Family Church) also wanted opinions on them. Any information would be great. Thank you!!!!

West Monroe is the best part of Monroe area. Honestly, Monroe is very small (I believe you move from a larger city), so West Monroe will be fine. No rush hour here.

I live in West Monroe. My kids' schools seem to be pretty decent schools-- Highland Elementary and Woodlawn Elementary. I'm a native of this area and I am looking to move away soon, but for those relocating here, I would recommend West Monroe over Monroe. Spend a few weeks here and you'll likely agree.

Thanks for the replies. We are going to west Monroe and sterlington next week to try and decided which city would be best to live in for our kids. I have heard the middle school bands in west Monroe are awesome and very small in sterlington.
