I don't think there is one street or landmark that divides the eastside and westside. to me, the eastside is everything east of downtown and the westside is everything west of beverly hills.

That's exactly the way I see it too BRinSM. In between, it's Mid-city and Miracle Mile essentially. Although on the poll, I chose La Brea because I can't consider anything east of La Brea as "westside", but some might consider the Fairfax/Grove area to be part of the west (more so than the east), although that's a stretch.

I'm just glad it seems like there aren't as many people referring to Silver Lake as "the east side" as there were a few years ago.

Because it's not ghetto. East side is ghetto and poor, west side is where the privileged live

^^^So places like Pasadena and Glendale are poor than? The LA river is a thing all by it's self. Hopefully it will cleaned up soon.

Well Glendale and Pasadena are their own cities so they're not part of LA....while places like Westwood, Brentwood, Bel Air, MDR, Playa etc are actually neighborhoods in the city of LA....
