How about “an out of area poster” - who lives in a connected neighbor county with its own huge homeless population - jumps in and challenges you to demonstrate that anyone, anywhere, anytime has ever suggested, inferred, or even joked that any such behavior is a right?

This level of persistently ridiculous hyperbole is just flatly juvenile.

The situation is likely better in many third world countries compared to skid row in 2018

—-
Touring Los Angeles’ skid row on Tuesday, where more than 4,200 homeless residents are estimated to reside, Republican California gubernatorial candidate John Cox likened the scene to a “third-world country,” The Los Angeles Times reported.

Cox toured the downtown area where officials say more than half the population is unsheltered and drugs, gangs and lawlessness run amok. A recent typhus outbreak in the area has also heightened concerns over sanitation.

“It is absolutely not compassionate to let people live on this street,” Cox told reporters. “This is 21st century California. This is not Bangladesh.”

lol don't count on John Cox to solve your homeless problems, not only does he refuse to tell us how he would fix everything that's wrong with California, he won't be governor. Poll: Newsom and Feinstein have strong leads over Cox, De Leon - The San Diego Union-Tribune

Well, anyway, if Cox loses (when he loses?) the least we could do is send him to Bangladesh to work his wonders of renewal there! ... No?

Even if he doesn’t win he’s putting a spotlight on the failed policies . Also the polls aren’t always so accurate , remember 2016? ..

Cox at least is admitting there are problems , Newsom doesn’t even want to talk about the real issues and instead wants to talk about stuff like gay marriage which has already been decided years ago .

The Venice meeting didn’t go well ..

They’ve been ignoring the serious concern and homeless related crime for years.

This is what happens when the public stops trusting you ..

We have a Mayor that has lectured us about how the homeless are all down on their luck angels that need gift baskets . The residents and tax paying homeowners of residents now the truth is much different .
People of Venice want what everyone wants, a decent place to live for them and their families

—-
Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti, Police Chief Michel Moore and Westside Councilman Mike Bonin knew what was coming when they appeared together Wednesday night at a town hall to defend a proposal to build a homeless shelter in Venice.
Boos and catcalls greeted them when they took the stage before a standing-room-only crowd in an elementary school auditorium.

After shushing the audience repeatedly in their opening remarks, and asking for respect that was sometimes granted, at others not, then fielding dozens of questions that devolved into angry rants, Garcetti and Bonin sat side-by-side on the steps at the foot of the stage and listened until after 10:30, when the last person who wanted their ear had left.

Garcetti et al will tolerate any amount of public outcry as long as they get their money..ONLY secured facilities like jail and mental hospitals will ever work..everyone knows it...and we know why they want the homeless to be on the street.$$$$$$$$$$$
Great example of what the "public servants " really care about-themselves...
thanx for sharing jm and CONGRATULATIONS- well deserved
