If they don't want either choice, then they are on their own. Facilities are not going to be provided in the cities.
Ok. Now, for the majority that either take your donations trip and quickly find their way back, and for those many who refuse the offer ... um, they’re “on their own”, on your streets, right back where you started. Now what?

This is laughably not even slightly true. Totalitarian societies are run by very limited, tightly knit elite power bases - who benefit to extremes by using their proles and drones in any manner they (the elites) consider expedient, to “add value to society” ... and do so without a whit of concern for the health / welfare / freedoms / happiness of their colonies of worker bees.

How many historical - and contemporary - examples would you like? Nevermind, they’re common knowledge and in your face without my list ...

Ok!

Now, can you fill us in on the “long term cost savings and benefits”, please? Obviously you have found the studies and proposals to share on these costs and benefits?

Also, you can fill us in on how you can legally and constitutionally support “rounding them up and shipping them out”? ... you know, to prepare for the lawsuits brought against those actions? No matter how many times you have been shown legal citations and precedences that say there is no legal standing to your proposal - you persist in demanding it be undertaken. So you must know something that counters the law and constitution in these matters. Share!

You think the United States is a totalitarian society?

No. Where did you find that jumping off point?

Sporty suggested changing the constitution and laws - to allow for involuntary detentions ... I responded “go for it” and enjoy the trip and destination going down that path will bring.

Yeah I don't agree with that either.

50 thousand people is what she said.

Too freaking bad if the CA government can't figure out how to lower the cost of incarceration. That should never be used as an excuse for not arresting people for breaking the law. Look at the ongoing costs of cleaning up the homeless crap not to mention replacing or repairing all the public property they destroy.

Housing the homeless is cheaper than incarcerating them or leaving them on the streets:
