Wow homeless tent cities in the Fairfax district now too .

Residents are fed up . Lot’s of violence and crime from the homeless they say . Fed up with the crime and they pay a ton of rent working hard and don’t feel safe in their own neighborhood because the homeless have taken over .

From the video it looks like skid row , like a dozen or so tents . Garcetti just announced a budget of about $10 billions .. where Is the money going ?

There shouldn’t be any tents on the street especially in residential areas . It’s almost as if they don’t care if the city has 3rd world conditions . Wow .

Residents want it addressed i.e. moved away from them.

Yeah , “addressed” is the politically correct way of saying it .

It’s not like they’ll be able to train the current encampment residents not to be violent and criminal .

I guess it’s surprising in a way to see this in the Fairfax area but maybe a lot of the old school residents have died out or are in nursing homes or something .

Or maybe it just shows that the politicians are totally tone deaf to residents and homeowner and put the rights of the trouble making homeless way above their right to enjoy their neighborhood.

Very FEW are making any 'trouble' most are sleeping and want to be left the heck alone if noone is going to help them..... just ignore them in your precious neighborhood as much as you do when you visit Hollywood or DTLA

Very few ? Do you realize how many LAPD resources are dedicated to the homeless because of all the crime they commit ?..

Maybe do some research on the issue first before saying few are making any trouble

6,400 homeless committing felonies ? Much much higher than the general non homeless population .

I guess if you were a victim of those crimes you wouldn’t care and would say no big deal right?

“About 6,400 homeless people were arrested on felony charges, including robbery, grand theft auto, aggravated assault and burglary, the report said.”

These incompetent political hacks in this city is a real joke . Seems everything is done just for image and PR moves . But everything is ok because the Mayor’s hair and suit look nice so the photo op will come out nice ..

“Look we’re fixing homelessness over here !”

It took more than a decade to open these bathrooms ? Really?

Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti's unveiling of the first new public bathrooms on skid row in more than a decade was seen as a possible turning point for the homeless enclave, which remains mired in misery even as downtown development closes in around it.
But after more than three months of operation, the trailers with toilets and showers shut down in late March for a planned expansion and now are gone. Across town, bathroom access for Venice's homeless people is hung up over approvals from other agencies.

It took more than a decade to open public bathrooms on skid row. After three months, they're already gone
Was it Ted Hayes who tore up an accolade and said the bathrooms were a decade too late?

Dude... CRIME?

Most of these 'crimes' are trespassing (sleeping just about ANYWHERE but a sidewalk, bus stop, or subway train is considered trespassing) and Possession. Oh, and public intoxication.

Felonies? FEWER than the aforementioned trespassing and possession citations. WAY fewer. And not committed by many of the true homeless, most committed by people in transition or kids living with mom.

Oh yeah haha that was hilarious. The activist said the award was worthless just like the Mayor ( Garcetti )

Someone should interview that guy now that the bathrooms have been closed . General Dogone would probably make a better Mayor than Garcetti .

On Monday, on camera, homeless activist General Dogone dramatically ripped up an “award” handed to him by a frozen-in-place Garcetti, saying the opening of a small toilet facility on Skid Row was, “10 years late, and it’s 300 too short.” (Watch the video.)

The felonies aren’t being committed by the homeless? So you have data or evidence to back that up ?
The LA Times article and LAPD data isn’t correct ?

Please share then .

Where is your proof that these felonies weren’t committed by the homeless but by “kids living with mom “?

Are you being serious ?
