He said "Errm, I don't want to think much about that" in relation to gay men, so there's some severe and uneducated bias there. The study he posted has no merit at all in relation to sexuality and height.

Yep. I remember going to Seattle and seeing a huge height difference between the locals there compared to here with the large Mexican/Asian/Jewish/ Middle Eastern population. Alot more Tall Scandanavian/Nordic types in Seattle compared to here. I was in a bit of a culture shock when I arrived at a Seattle airport one time.

By the way, I'm a tall man and I do see tall men out and about, though I don't pay much attention to the percentage nor do I know what's common elsewhere.
I think a few more conditions* were omitted in that complain. What women of LA might be saying is that LA is lacking single tall, funny (not to be confused with funny looking), sensitive, rich, good looking, successful and romantic men with 6-pack!

If she is easy on the eye and not a nut case, chances are she has very high standards (ie. see above).

Really? I couldn't stand girls (women) when I was 10!

....for the most part, I still can't but back then I didn't have a reason to!

Tom Cruise, Dustin Hoffman, Michael J. Fox, and Seth Green teamed up to have the tall men all run out of town.

Ryan Seacrest produced the event as a tv reality show.

Both those statements can be true. There might be a correlation between sexual orientation and height, but no causality.

Whether there is such a correlation, I don't know. I never noticed.

Of course sexual orientation doesn't cause height differences, excluding any connection through disordered eating (which can stunt growth).

What about the possibility that most women moving here to get into the 'biz' (which maybe is a high percentage of female immigrants) are small and therefore that drags down their (female or male) children's height? I mean, prettier women do tend to be small.
