I am contemplating a move to Cerritos or vicinity and having difficulties locating apartments and want some input from those familiar with the area. I currently live in SE LA County and only pay $910 for rent but my apartment is too small for my needs. I need some apartment suggestions. Here are my criteria:

- Easy access to mass transit, such as the mall area
- 800 sq or larger sized apartments for 1395 or less per month
- Safe section of town

Thank you.

I'm familiar with the demographics and love the fact that there are tons of Asian places to eat

You could try the 90713 area of Lakewood, too. It would be a little cheaper and is just a hop skip and a jump from Cerritos. I used to live in Lakewood and worked in Cerritos, got to work in 5 minutes (driving my own car, not mass transit, but still) and I lived equal distances from the Lakewood Mall and Cerritos Mall, it was great! Very safe neighborhood, too.

Thanks for the input. I'll have to check it out to see if the bus lines and neighborhood works for me.
