Hi all --

looking at apartments. Is the area off of 4th between Wilshire and Montana safe?

Thanks!

Extremely safe and desirable. You're 4 blocks from the ocean. Wilshire Blvd is busy commercial street, but safe in Santa Monica. Montana Ave is a neighborhood street with restaurants, shops that's about as safe as it gets. It'd be hard for me to think of safer places in the LA area.

That explains the rent! It did seem like a sweet area, though the apt is kind of rundown.

Thanks!

Brookside? Are you from the UK? That show just brought back some serious flashbacks! If you are from the UK then you may be pleased to know about the British community Santa Monica has.

Hey that's cool!

No connection though -- I took my moniker from the neighborhood in Tulsa, OK where I used to live (yes there are semi-cool spots in OK, though they probably pale in comparison to Cali, Santa Monica, etc.) Home

Don't say Cali on this board. The people here will flame you. I don't see why because I hear natives say "Cali" all the time.
