Maybe because most of LA is Little Mexico.

I second that. As a matter of fact, Los Angeles is becoming "big" mexico. The population is definitely growing leaps and bounds.

Festering? Civilization? Your choice of words and tone is very suspect to say the least.

I echo the sentiments of whoever upthread questioned why the hell we need a "Little Italy" in Los Angeles in the first place? What has this ethnic group contributed to the growth, history, and development of **Los Angeles**? Next to nothing. Their size and influence has been paltry and miniscule at best.

If you want a city or town with Italian or Eurocentric ties and flavor, might I suggest the Northeast or those old, decaying rustbelt cities. Los Angeles has its own unique mix of Asian, Latin-American, and middle eastern influences and flavors. We don't need to be copying New York or Chicago. And as to whether or not I'd rather interact with a "a culture of a Western European G8 nation", I'll choose un-pretentious Asian and Latin American cultures--- Asian and Mexican food kicks Italian food's ass any day of the week.

Where? A good Italian restaurant in Los Angeles is just like a needle in a haystack, HARD TO FIND!lol

Most Italian restaurants in Los Angeles are not even Italian owned. They seem to be owned for the most part by Middle Eastern people who don't know jack about how to cook Italian food. I guess they make it their "Allah" way or something.lol

When I want good Italian food I make it myself or I go to mom's.:-)
